Sam is currently the President and Board member of Geil Enterprises Inc. (GEI) a Fresno, CA based company serving the Industrial Services market. Since joining GEI in 2004, Sam has lead several initiatives including the Geil Green initiative focusing on sustainability. Sam is responsible for the green branding of Geil Enterprises Inc. with the "Getting Greener Every Day" brand.
GEI is now a 100% employee owned company made up of five divisions: Valley Security & Alarm, Valley Sanitary Supply, Janitorial Inc., CIS Security and A-MAZ Cleaning Products.
Sam's involvement in the Green Industry began during his tenure with Grundfos Pumps and continued at Geil Enterprises Inc. with the acquisition of A-MAZ Cleaning Products. In May of 2007, Sam was a guest of California Governor Schwarzenegger, to participate in the Pacific Economic Summit in Vancouver, British Columbia representing Green industries in California.
Sam is a graduate of San Jose State University-School of Business. Sam was certified as a Professional in Human Resources in 1990-99 and attended the Executive Program at the University of Southern California in 1986 and 1989. Additionally, Mr. Geil is a certified analyst and associate licensee of Predictive Index.
Following college, Sam worked in the computer industry with Xerox Corporation (Shugart Associates) in 1979-83 based in Sunnyvale, CA. and in 1983 joined Data General Corporation, based in Manhattan Beach, CA.
In 1986, Sam joined Grundfos Pumps Corporation (Denmark based company) and over his 18 year tenure was responsible for establishing the Canadian, Mexican, and South American operations, construction projects, sales in Central America and the Caribbean, various international projects and initiatives, and served as a member of the Executive Committee for North America and the United States.
Sam has served on the board of the local Boys and Girls Club and several foundations, and chaired the Fresno County Public Services Consolidation project with projected savings exceeding several million dollars.
Sam is a member of International Sanitary Supply Association, United States Green Building Council – Central California Chapter, Build It Green, Green America, and KIVA (Loans that change lives).
Sam has taught business courses at Fresno City College, invited to speak and lecture at several events and provides executive consulting services with over a dozen businesses throughout the United States.
