Nominator Information

Nominations for induction into the International Green Industry Hall of Fame are to be submitted to the Nomination Committee of the Board of Directors on an official nomination form. Nominations may not be submitted by a current IGI Hall of Fame Board of Director.

It is not necessary to re-nominate a candidate each year, since the Nomination Committee carries forward the names of those nominees not selected. After five years, however, the nomination must be reactivated and brought up to date, or it will be dropped.

Sponsors may obtain the Official Nomination Papers directly from the International Green Industry Hall of Fame or download them from our website. However, hard copies must be submitted by June 1 to the IGIHOF address at 660 W. Locust Avenue, Suite 102, Fresno CA 93650.

The Nomination Committee will consider all valid nominations and submit its recommendations to the IGIHOF Board of Directors. These recommendations will be reviewed by the IGIHOF Board and final selections made at least three months prior to the Annual Banquet and Induction Ceremony. The Board of Directors shall consider only nominees proposed by the Nomination Committee.

The Board may, by a vote of two-thirds of the members present at a regular or special meeting, induct a candidate(s) recommended by the Nomination Committee into the International Green Industry Hall of Fame. The Board's decision will be final.

Candidates may be selected at any time during the year, but the formal ceremony to honor inductees will be held once a year. The Board of Directors of the IGIHOF may determine that more than one individual will be inducted in any given year, or perhaps that no one will be inducted.

Announcement

The selected inductee will be notified as soon as possible after the Board's decision. Public announcement of all inductees will follow.

Presentation

The inductee will be presented with an IGIHOF memento at the Annual Induction Ceremony. A presentation and description of the achievement(s) will be awarded to each recipient during the Annual Induction Ceremony.

If the recipient is unable to attend the presentation ceremony, for some reason of health or other extenuating circumstance, the award may be received and acknowledged by an appropriate representative on the inductee's behalf.

Instructions to Nominate

All information will need to be authentic and supported by documents and testimonies with contact information.

All nominations must meet the deadline of June 1, 2010 and no exceptions will be made.
